François le Dahéron

François began learning the French horn at age 8 with François Mérand at the music school of Saint-Nazaire (France), continuing his training with the same teacher at the Nantes Conservatory, where he earned his musical studies diploma. He then refined his playing at the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne alongside Olivier Alvarez and then Olivier Darbellay, earning a Master's in pedagogy in 2014 and a Master's Concert in 2016.
Having had a strong taste for ensemble music from a young age, he performs with the Verbier Festival Orchestra, the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, and the Contrechamps ensemble, under renowned conductors such as Charles Dutoit, Daniel Harding and Neeme Järvi. Also a natural horn player, he performs in concert and records with the Camerata de Lausanne under Pierre Amoyal, as well as with the Basel Chamber Orchestra under Heinz Holliger. He is currently the titular horn player of the Symphonistes d'Octodure, and an additional musician with the Sinfonietta de Lausanne as well as the Basel Chamber Orchestra.
Always passionate about teaching, he is also a horn teacher at several music schools in the canton of Vaud as well as at the Martigny school.
