Maïwenn Bachmann

A clarinettist based in French-speaking Switzerland, Maïwenn Bachmann is involved in a wide range of musical projects, from chamber music to orchestral work, including interdisciplinary collaborations. Always looking for new ways to share music, she enjoys performing in unconventional venues and wants to make music accessible to as many people as possible. She is active in various regional ensembles such as Ensemble Puzzle and Duo Mélinos, with whom she performs as part of the Concerts du cœur.
Originally from Brittany, she began playing the clarinet with Philippe Lecacheux before continuing her studies with Emilie Jacquin and Alexandre Chabod. She then earned a Master's in Performance at the Hemu - Vaud, in the class of Florent Héau, before studying at the Hochschule der Künste in Bern with Olivier Vivarès, where she specialised in contemporary music and bass clarinet. Also active in arts administration, she works as Production Manager at the Fondation Sion Violon Musique.
Through her various projects, she hopes that audiences and performers alike can come together, share ideas, and be moved — together.
