Description
A performance of about twenty minutes, performed three times over the day, that steps outside the classical concert format. Two solo pieces with electronics, for marimba and for flute, each explore in their own way the link between sound and matter.
In Christos Hatzis's Fertility Rites, performed by percussionist Aurélien Perdreau, Alexandra Cupșa's projections are mapped in real time directly onto the musician's body, turning it into a projection surface to create an immersive experience. Jacob Thiede's And everything in-between, performed by flautist Léa Marion-Nély, itself incorporates a system that translates the sound of the flute into images.
